Blair Castle International Horse Trials and Country Fair

We hold our largest event at the end of August each year - Blair Castle International Horse Trials and Country Fair. The event typically attracts around 40,000 visitors over the four days of its run. The next event dates are Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 August 2012. This year we have Olympic medallists compete alongside amateurs in the four International event classes, whilst British Showjumping and showing classes provide a platform for riders in other disciplines to compete on Blair's hallowed turf.

Blair Castle International Horse Trials is a four-day extravaganza of all things equine, including top class international three-day eventing, show jumping, Highland Pony Championships, Hunter Show, National Pony Society Scotland Finals, Pony Club Games, Ex Racehorses and Ridden Clydesdale Championships.

The event also incorporates the thriving Bruadar Country Fair over the weekend. Traditional countryside pursuits such as falconry and gundog training highlight the importance of the country way of life, whilst other displays such as vaulting and dog agility bring a fresh feel to the countryside.

Rounded off with nearly 200 trade stands for a great shopping experience, plus plenty of 'have a go' things to keep children entertained, the event has something for all the family.
