Information for Coaches
Parking: Free Parking for castle visitors is available within 100 yards of the castle for 200 cars and 20 coaches.
Castle Tours: Accompanied and guided tours are available at no extra cost for groups of 12 or more, subject to availability. Booking is recommended and booked tours are given priority. At busy times and in high season it is not always possible to provide dedicated guides but in such circumstances guides are available along the visitor route to answer questions during free flow tours. Tours take about 50 minutes.
Foreign Language Tours: As well as English, tours are usually available by arrangement in German and French. Other languages may sometimes be offered.
Facilities for Overseas Visitors: Room notes are provided in 10 languages (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Russian, Swedish, Chinese and Japanese). Blair Castle guidebooks in English, French, German and Italian are available at £3.50 per copy.
Piper: A Highland piper plays three times daily on the castle forecourt during the summer season.
Discounts for Drivers & Couriers: Drivers, couriers and tour guides receive complimentary admission and vouchers for use in the castle’s Tullibardine restaurant and shop.
Restaurant: Blair Castle's Tullibardine restaurant seats up to 125 people and is available daily, from 10am – 5pm, (summer season), and on Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10am to 2pm, (winter season). The Garry Room can accommodate private lunches for up to 35 people by prior arrangement.
Shop: The Castle Gift Shop stocks a wide range of gifts, books and souvenirs, many based on the Blair Castle collections.
Gardens and Grounds: Blair Castle is at the hub of a breathtaking historic landscape which includes a magnificent 9 acre walled garden, a peaceful wooded grove, a red deer park and a children's woodland adventure playground.
Disabled Access: The ground floor of the castle, shop and restaurant are accessible by wheelchair and a disabled toilet is available. An Audio visual room is available for visitors with limited mobility allowing them to see the rooms on the upper levels of the castle tour which may be inaccessible to them. There is a limited mobility scooter available for hire for access to the castle grounds. Please enquire on 01796 481207 in advance of your visit.
Other Information: Photography, smoking and dogs (excepting guide dogs) are not permitted inside the castle.
Payment Options: Payments by cash, cheque, credit and debit card are all accepted.
Account facilities are available on request by prior arrangement only. Group rates only apply when all the tickets are bought by one person.
