Cheque Presentation to Tayside Mountain Rescue Association
Each year Atholl Estates supports local and national charities by donating the takings from ticket sales for a day. Following this years highly successful charity day, which took place on Saturday 25th June, Sandy Reid, a Land Rover Safari guide of Atholl Estates who has worked on the Estate for over 50 years, presented the cheque for £3000.00 to Stuart Johnston, Team Leader of Tayside Mountain Rescue Team.

Mike Dukes, Head of Visitor Services at Atholl Estates said, “The event gives Tayside Mountain Rescue vital financial support for the great work that they do across the region, but also lets large numbers of visitors gain a better understanding of the work that they carry out. Their displays on the forecourt of Blair Castle created a lot of interest, with the search dogs proving the favourites.”
Tayside Mountain Rescue Association president Eric Drummond commented, "We really appreciate this generous donation from Blair Castle towards our funds. We had a fantastic day and it made an ideal opportunity to meet members of the public and explain our role in the community. Thanks to Blair Castle and the management for their support".
